Benjamin C. Halliburton, CFA
Mr. Halliburton is a founder and Chief Investment Officer of Tradition. He oversees the investment research and strategy for Tradition. He heads the Investment Committee and covers the Energy and Technology sectors. Mr. Halliburton has over a quarter of a century of professional investing experience including ten years at Brundage, Story and Rose where he was BS&R's Director of Research and responsible for overseeing the firm's equity selection process. He was a principal of the firm and a member of the firm's Investment Policy Committee. He also designed, developed and managed BS&R’s successful Disciplined Growth Strategy. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and earned an MBA from Duke's Fuqua School of Business in 1990, where he was distinguished as a Fuqua Scholar. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1985, and graduated Salutatorian from the McCallie School.
Christopher J. Trompeter, CFA
Mr. Trompeter is a Managing Director and works on Tradition’s Investment Committee. Mr. Trompeter is also an analyst responsible for the Consumer Discretionary sector and regional banks. He is a founder and principal of the firm and has over three decades of investment management experience. Prior to Tradition, Mr. Trompeter was a senior portfolio manager at Brundage, Story and Rose, where he was a member of the Core Stock Selection Group and the Technology Research Group. Mr. Trompeter’s extensive experience includes Citibank Global Asset Management, where he was a senior portfolio manager. Mr. Trompeter began his career at Bankers Trust Company in 1978 managing equity, balanced and fixed income portfolios for institutional clients. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. Mr. Trompeter graduated from St. Lawrence University with Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Government.
Alan J. Reef
Mr. Reef is a Managing Director and member of Tradition’s Investment Committee. He is also a member of the All-Cap Advantage Strategy portfolio manager team. Mr. Reef’s direct analyst responsibilities are money center banks and insurance companies. Prior to joining Tradition, he was President, CEO, and Chief Investment Officer of Overbrook Management Company, a 67 year-old family office, where he was responsible for the firm’s investments and management of the company. Before Overbrook, Mr. Reef was a Managing Director, Director of Research and member of the Investment Policy Committee at Brundage, Story & Rose. Mr. Reef began his investment career at Lehman Management Company, then a division of Lehman Brothers. Lehman’s institutional business became Ark Asset Management. Mr. Reef worked for thirteen years at Ark and its predecessor where he rose to Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School with honors and an MBA with Distinction from New York University’s Stern School. Mr. Reef is active in community affairs and sits on various investment and finance committees.
Mr. Turko is a Managing Director of Tradition, where he contributes to the research and portfolio management process. Mr. Turko works on both the Dividend Value Strategy and the All-Cap Advantage portfolio management teams. Mr. Turko was a Managing Director and a founding member of Haven Capital Management. He was a Principal in the group that was spun out of Goldman Sachs to form the predecessor to Haven. His role at Haven cut across all aspects of the investment process and management of portfolios. In addition, he coordinated the firm’s institutional business development. He graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, and from Columbia University with an MBA. Mr. Turko is active in community and educational affairs as a member of the Investment Committee of Overlook Hospital Foundation and the Summit Area YMCA. He is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Deerfield Academy, where he served as Chairman of both the Finance and Investment Committees. He is also active in Yale alumni affairs.
Mr. Ely is a Managing Director of Tradition. He manages portfolios for individuals at Tradition. In addition, he is a contributor to Tradition’s research process, focusing on industry and economic trends. Mr. Ely was a Managing Director and one of the founding members of Haven Capital Management. In addition to equity and economic research, he managed portfolios for individual clients. Mr. Ely began his career at Kuhn Loeb & Co. where he became a Partner in charge of the firm’s Investment Advisory Department. He joined Haven’s predecessor as a Principal, and was a member of the original group that founded Haven. He graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts in History, and attended the Graduate School of Business at New York University.
John W. Feaster
Mr. Feaster is a Managing Director and Investment Committee member at Tradition Asset Management. He is responsible for managing the firm’s fixed income portfolios. He actively manages both taxable and non-taxable portfolios in strategies ranging from Enhanced Cash to Core. Prior to joining Tradition, he worked at WBI, focusing on actively managed ETF, SMA and UMA strategies. Before joining WBI, he worked for Portland House Group, Australia’s largest private funds group specializing in quantitative multi-asset investment management. He began his career at Fox Asset Management, a division of Eaton Vance, specializing in fixed income portfolio management and trading for institutional and HNW clients. Mr. Feaster earned an MBA from Rutgers University School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in finance from Fordham University.
Robert J. Voccola, CFA
Mr. Voccola is a Managing Director and member of the investment committee at Tradition Capital Management. He has a Chartered Financial Analyst Designation. Mr. Voccola earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Lehigh University and holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Columbia Graduate School of Business.
Between academic degrees, Mr. Voccola was commissioned as Ensign in the United States Naval Reserve. After his graduation from the United States Navy Officer Candidate School, he served four years on active duty as a Line Officer.
Mr. Voccola began his Wall Street career as a security analyst for Clark, Dodge & Co. (eventually taken over by Kidder, Peabody & Co.). Subsequent positions included Senior Vice President at Bernstein-Macaulay Inc., a division of Shearson Lehman/American Express and Director of Research and Chief Investment Officer at Barrett Associate Inc., at that time a division of Legg Mason Inc.
Marc Davis, CFA
Senior Vice President
Mr. Davis is an industry research analyst working on the Health Care and Consumer Staples sectors for Tradition. He works on the Investment Committee. Mr. Davis joined Tradition in 2002 and started his investment management career in equity research at Brundage, Story and Rose where he was a junior equity analyst following Health Care, Consumer Staples and Basic Materials companies. He was also a member of the firm's Health Care and Basic Materials industry working groups. He earned a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and the New York Bar. Mr. Davis graduated from Columbia College in 1985 and earned his JD degree from the New York University School of Law in 1989.
